Our Commitment to Ministry

As we mark another anniversary, we remain committed to the purpose for which we were founded—reaching others with the gospel of Jesus Christ. This is a critical time for churches and Christian ministries. We must plant our feet firmly and stand for the truth as we fulfill God's call for us to make disciples. This is our commitment to ministry.

Uphold Biblical Truth
We are in the midst of a spiritual battle, for which we need to be prepared (Ephesians 6:10-20). Those who are unprepared are at risk of being carried away by false teaching (Ephesians 4:14). God gave us the Bible to instruct and guide us in this life, and we are told to handle it accurately (2 Timothy 2:15).

Proclaim the Gospel
Much can be said about the gospel, but to summarize we echo the words of Paul: "For I determined to know nothing among you except Jesus Christ, and Him crucified" (1 Corinthians 2:2). We are sinners deserving of God's wrath—which was poured out on Christ in our place (Romans 5:8-9; Galatians 3:13; 1 Peter 2:24), and those who repent and believe in the Lord Jesus Christ will be saved (Mark 1:15; John 3:16, 20:31; Acts 16:31, 20:21).

Serve Others in Jesus' Name
What we do to help others is the result and evidence of what we believe—we are saved by grace through faith, not of works—but good works are fruits of our salvation (Ephesians 2:8-10). We want to honor God in all that we do, and to work heartily as for the Lord (Colossians 3:17, 23).
